Dean Ferris Fractures Elbow

ICE1RACING racer, Dean Ferris, has undergone surgery in Belgium to repair a fractured elbow sustained at the Spanish MX championship in Albaida.
Fresh off of his first victory on European soil two weeks earlier, Ferris looked to be the man to beat in Albaida and it was during his first moto stint, while hunting down Jose Butron for the lead, that a backmarker came across Ferris sending him into a haybayle for a high speed crash.
“I should have seen him coming” admitted Ferris. ‘ I had just passed Barragan and gapped him so I was focusing on Butron and realing him in quite quickly when I had to avoid the backmarker. Luckily it’s not a serious break and I should be back on the bike within 4 weeks. My fitness is great so will work on maintaining that and hopefully it won’t take too long for me to get my speed back before the first GP in Valkenswaard.”
“It’s great to watch Dean riding. Even though he had a bad start in Albaida, he was able to climb to the second position by the fourth round and he was challenging Butron. When taking the hit, he was at the jump of the track’s fastest whoop section chasing Butron”, described the team manager Kari Tiainen the situation and continued, "This is only a small break and Dean will be back in no time and ready for the GP season with his full speed."
