Atlanta, GA - As the Team BTOSports.com rolled in to Atlanta, Ga, team riders Jimmy Albertson, Jason Thomas and Matt Goerke were ready to hammer the Georgia Dome track for Rd. 8 of the Monster Energy/AMA Supercross series.
In the heats, Matt Goerke fought hard for 6th place and a spot in the main event again this week. Jimmy Albertson and Jason Thomas would not have the night they wanted, as they struggled through the heat races.. Both would end up in the LCQ where Albertson would come up a bit short and JT would crash out in the tough sand section, ending his night.
In the main, Goerke jumped out of the gate at the start strong. He would find a groove and battled to a season best 13th place finish. Goerke looks strong every week and the finishes reflect the hard work from the BTOsports.com team and Goerke.
“I felt on it tonight” said Goerke. “Every week it's better and better. I'm just excited to ride this well. I have been training hard during the week and it is paying off.”
