CORONA, Calif.,– As Monster Energy Supercross Lites West goes on it’s mid-season hiatus, Monster Energy Supercross Lites East starts up for its first round of the 2012 season in Dallas at Cowboys Stadium this Saturday, February 18.
Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Blake Baggett returns for his second season with the team. He’s in great shape, and has been putting in some fast laps at the test track. He’s ready to get the Supercross Lites East series going, and has high hopes for success. He was victorious at the very first Monster Energy Supercross held at Cowboys Stadium, and is looking for a repeat. An early favorite, Baggett possesses everything required to produce a winning season. He knows the class is stacked, but he’s excited for Dallas.
“Excited would be a good way to put how I’m feeling,” says Baggett. “I’ve been putting in a lot of laps at the test track, and I feel like I’m ready to race. Dallas has been good to me in the past…so we’ll see.”
Teammate Darryn Durham, the newest addition to the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team, is very excited to get his season going. He suffered from a pre-season injury, but is now fully recovered and has been turning heads since he got back in the saddle. Durham is one of the most likeable guys in the industry, and it’s been easy for him to gain a following as his career has progressed.
“I’m excited to finally get to race,” says Durham. “It’s been a long off-season for me, but I’ve been working hard and ripping laps! I’m ready to go for Dallas!”
Broc Tickle heads to Dallas after a tough night in San Diego. A tumble in the Supercross Class set him farther back than expected, but he’s ready to bounce back at Cowboys Stadium. He’s been steady and consistent during the first part of the 2012 season, and is looking to keep the momentum going as he progresses into the second half.
The Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki boys head to Cowboys Stadium in Dallas for the first round of the Monster Energy Supercross Lites East Championship, and the seventh round of the Monster Energy Supercross Championship. Baggett and Durham now enter the spotlight as they spearhead the Supercross Lites East class for the team. Tickle continues to plug away in the Supercross class, and heads to Dallas in 14th overall, with 44 points.
