Three talented athletes on SMS Racing KTM 250SX-F bikes in the East Region

HOUSTON – The Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM Championship, is well underway. However there is a new series that will begin on February 18 when the 250cc Lites East Region riders take to the track in Arlington, Texas. This week Team Violation1.com/Shea Racing/Travisa/National Switchgear powered by SMS Racing brought its athletes to the Houston area to practice on their new Ready to Race KTM 250 SX-F bikes.

The Shea Racing team is proud to support the competitive aspirations of three talented athletes in their quest during the AMA Supercross 250cc Lites East Region series. They are Shane Sewell #68 of Westville, Ind., Sean Lipanovich #505 of Tallahassee, Fla. and Jeremy Hudleston #564 of Eustace, Texas. Each rider has at least one AMA Supercross Lites season underneath their belt and are ready to take advantage of the KTM orange power.

The riders grabbed their new FLY Racing gear and FLY Formula Helmets. They have been getting their SMS Racing KTM bikes dialed in with superb tuning by the Denton, Texas dealership coupled with extra horsepower from DR.D and gearing by Supersprox.

‪‪"I’m very fortunate to be surrounded by such a great group of people within our organization; to add three very talented riders is a huge plus to our team,” said Tim Shea, team manager. “I believe we will do very well in this series. I’m happy to have Sean, Shane and Jeremy join our team for 2012 – all three are great guys on and off the track. The testing with the riders is going very well. Brian [Storrie] from SMS Racing is tweaking the motors to match the riders’ requests for power characteristics. We’ll be ready to race in Cowboys Stadium in two weeks.”

Sewell, Lipanovich and Hudleston will pit out of the cannot-miss yellow and purple Team Violation1.com/Shea Racing/Travisa/National Switchgear semi hauler. Like it did last year, the team plans to host sponsors in a dedicated hospitality area.

Shea added, “I can’t thank our sponsors enough, some are new this year and others are going on five years with our team. Without them our program would not be possible.”

Team Violation1.com/Shea Racing/Travisa/National Switchgear powered by SMS Racing will make its 2012 season debut at the Monster Energy AMA Supercross East Region round opener on Saturday, February 18 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. You may buy tickets now at www.supercrossonline.com. During the pit party, stop by the Shea Racing fan experience to meet the athletes and the Violation Goggles girls.
