Musquin – Tomac – Hahn – Gould on DMXS Radio Tonight
January 18, 2012 2:05pm
Red Bull KTM’s Marvin Musquin is a two-time MX2 World Champion, but international credentials don’t always guarantee a smooth transition into supercross in America. It’s clear the likeable Frenchman has put in the work and adapted well into his new role on the resurgent KTM indoor effort. Marvin scored an impressive first podium in Phoenix and will be on tonight to give us some insight on his very early supercross career.
Geico Honda’s Eli Tomac lost the SX title by just a few points last year and has put the competitive class on notice that he doesn’t want to feel that sting again. Eli is all about doing work and his raw speed and attacking the track style has not gone unnoticed in the pits. We might have to call him “Rocky” soon, because he definitely has the Eye of the Tiger this year.
No rider is immune to the risk and injury inherent in our sport, but it seems even crueler when it happens in an unfortunate string that keeps a contender out for so long. Geico Honda’s Wil Hahn came out this year ready to make up for an all but lost 2011 only to be tested again by another unrelated injury. Our listeners know we have a special relationship with Lil’ Wil and wanted to make sure he knows we’re always going to support him, even on the dark days.
Shane Gould at Fuel Clothing is a true renaissance man and can be found just about anywhere there is dirt, snow or a vert ramp. Shane has been in trenches building his brand for longer than I can remember and truly inspires the people and athletes around him. We’ve been lucky to know him throughout the years and wanted to catch up with our good friend tonight.
We want to welcome on ONE Industries as a new show sponsor for the upcoming race season and we will be offering up tons of giveaway swag to our listeners during the show. Make sure to visit www.OneIndustries.com for their new 2012 gear lineup!
DMXS Radio also thanks our wives, Racer X, MX Sports, GoPro Cameras, OGIO, Concept2Rowers, Coach Robb Beams, MotoSport.com, Vurb Moto and Skull Candy for their continued support!
