Dragon Racing Fuels Wilkes Barre Report

Wilkes Barre, PA – After a month off, the 2012 AMA Arenacross Series resumed in Wilkes Barre Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza. Team Dragon Racing Fuels/AG Motorsports KTM rider #749 Michael Willard swept the Lites Class to take the Eastern Region Lites Championship points lead. With 3 wins on the series, Willard has been a staple at the front of the field.

On Friday Willard took the early lead in the Main Event and never looked back as he went on to his second win of the series and the points lead. With little time to celebrate, Willard lined up for the Arenacross Class Main Event and went on to finish 13th.

Saturday night proved to be another hard fought Main Event for Willard. McDade took the early lead with Willard in tow. As the race progressed Willard stayed close and made his move on lap 16 to take the lead and ultimately win his third main event of the series and maintains the series points lead. Willard then lined up for the Arenacross Class Main Event and finished 11th putting him in 10th for the Arenacross Class Championship series points chase.

The Arenacross series will take another break for the holidays and return to action on January 7th in Grand Rapids, MI.
