Yamaha Expands Joe Gibbs Racing Partnership

Cypress, CA. -- Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA is pleased to announce the expansion of our relationship with Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) through a new contract that will see the highly successful team race YZ450Fs for at least the next three years.

“Yamaha’s relationship with JGR has been a very positive one and we were very happy when they chose the YZ450F as their bike when they started the team in 2008”, said Yamaha Motor Co. Racing Division Manager, Keith McCarty, “and now with a long term contract the YZ450F and Yamaha will play an even bigger part in the team’s future”.

The signing of James Stewart to the JGR Family has everyone at Yamaha very excited about James continuing to be a member of the extended Yamaha Family. James’ proven championship capabilities on the YZ450F along with JGR’s industry leading Motorsports Racing operations will lead to an exciting combination in 2012.
