Knobbyknife up for Kruesi Award

The Kruesi Award is America’s first community innovation award. The Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce created the award in 2001 to recognize area businesses that exemplify an innovative spirit. KnobbyKnife is one of five finalist because it keeps tires out of the land fill, is a family owned business and of course an innovative product. The winner will be announced on October 26 after a panel of international judges reviews each business.
KnobbyKnife, Inc. manufactures and distributes a heated knife that sharpens the knobbies on dirt bike tires. Developed and tested in a Soddy-Daisy garage, KnobbyKnife extends the lifespan of dirt bike tires three to five times longer than their typical expiration date, saving riders extensive time and money spent on tire exchange. The 100-watt heating tool cuts rubber at capacities of up to 500 degrees, quickly and easily restoring gripping performance on all types of used dirt bike tires. Over the last year, KnobbyKnife sold units all over the world.
