Josh Strang Scores Podium Finish
The Can-AM GNCC Racing Series arrived in Somerset, Pa. over the weekend with the XC1 Pro Championship still up for grabs. Following a disappointing performance during round 10, Moose Racing’s Josh Strang looked to bounce back and return to the podium. Strang did exactly that at the VP Racing Fuels Mountain Ridge GNCC. Strang finished the round in third overall, and now sits just 17 points behind leader, Charlie Mullins, in second place overall.
A couple other Moose Racing riders that posted impressive performances over the weekend were Jesse Robinson (9th) and Jimmy Jarrett (13th). Robinson was racing in the XC1 class for the first time this season, and displayed the same speed we have come to expect from him in the XC2 class.
In the XC2 Pro Lites Class, Scott Watkins finished 12th overall, and now sits in sixth-place in the overall standings. All the GNCC - Moose Racing riders will be back in action when the series arrives in St. Clairsville, Ohio on October 8-9.
The WORCS Racing Series was also in action over the weekend in Devore, Calif. at Glen Helen Raceway. Monster Energy Kawasaki and Moose Racing rider, Justin Soule, posted a very important top five finish as he continues to push for an overall season podium. Soule’s fourth place finish puts him in fifth overall in the standings, and just 30 points out of fourth and 36 points off the podium. The WORCS Racing series will be back in action on October 14-16 from Adelanto, Calif.
