Bel-Ray Racing-Weekend Wrap-Up
FARMINGDALE, NJ – Bel-Ray Company, Inc. – The Sand Del Lee Circuit in Ottowa, Ontario Canada hosted Round 8 of the CMRC National Championship this past weekend. The Kini / Red Bull / KTM / IMX / Bel-Ray Racing team of Kieran Leigh and Mason Phillips continued their consistent finishes for yet another round this season. Leigh finished 7-6 for 6th overall, while Phillips was 9-9 for 7th overall. Both riders are in the top 10 in the series’ standings with just one round left.
The Casino Bonver GP took place on Sunday in Loket, Czech Republic. Bel-Ray backed TM Factory Racer Tanel Leok has been struggling with results this season, and after a 12th place in the first moto, his season didn’t look to be improving much. However, an excellent second place result in the second moto earned him a podium finish for the first time this season. His 4th overall pushed him into 11th place in the standings with 3 rounds left in the season series.
The 2011 Red Bull Amateur National Motocross Championship took place last week at the Loretta Lynn’s Dude Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. Bel-Ray’s teams of amateur racers were in attendance and several of our riders placed top 10 in their respective classes. Joey Peters was 3rd overall in Open Pro Sport and 5th overall in 450A. Blake Savage was 2nd overall in both the 250B Modified and 450B Modified classes. Scott Sheak made his return to Loretta Lynn’s with a 4th overall in 35+, while Dakota Nyul was 5th overall in the Youth Beginner class. Congratulations to everyone who made it to the “Ranch” this season.
