Mike Metzger Injury Update

Often refereed to as the "Godfather" of FMX, Mike Metzger was seriously injured this past weekend after a crash at his house. We received this update from FreestyleMTX.com.

"As you know, Metzger had a serious crash at his house yesterday. I have spoken with his agent, Lucas Mirtl, and he asked if I would let everyone know what is going on and that he is sorry he can not answer his phone. His parents are also very thankful for everyones concern, but are trying to focus on Mike. The initial results were a few broken vertebrae in his back and neck, collarbones and a lacerated kidney, but was stable last night. At 6 am this morning his vitals quickly dropped as gas deteriorated and his liver is now bleeding out. He has had 2 blood transfusions today and is now in the ICU in "critical stable" condition. The doctors hope the liver will start to heal itself and won't require a risky surgery. Please keep Mike in your prayers."
