  • Baggett/Craig/Brayton/Cianciarulo on DMXS Radio Tonight
Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Blake ‘El Chupacabra’ Baggett once again displayed the speed and dominance at Thunder Valley that has impressed the fans and media so far this season.  Although, that’s not really that big of a surprise because at altitude in Colorado he only weighs sixty eight pounds. Unfortunately, he is currently third in the title hunt behind two of his green brethren, but still has plenty of time to make it up.  If there is one well-known trait of an El Chupacabra, other than bloodsucking, it’s their resilience and Blake has plenty of that.

Every season there is a rider that comes in under the radar well prepared to do some damage, and this summer Troy Lee Honda’s Christian Craig has stepped up to the challenge.  It was just 16 months ago that Christian broke his back preparing for the supercross season and was unsure of his future, let alone if he would ever race again.  His comeback this year was cut short with a knee injury in L.A., but he’s healthy now and running with the big boys.  We’ll get his perspective on everything tonight as the series heads to Redddd Buddd this weekend.

JGR’s Justin Brayton is an easy rider to pull for.  He’s a hard worker and you know he’ll always give you his best every race.  He’s a little late to the outdoor party after recovering from an ankle injury sustained at the final round of supercross in Las Vegas, but JB scored a top ten at his first race back at Thunder Valley.  We’ll cover all that and also ask about Jason Weigandt’s strange obsession with him.  Weege actually asked me to pass JB a note at the rider’s meeting and it was a bit uncomfortable.

Kawasaki Team Green’s Adam Cianciarulo represents everything I love about this sport.  He has an amazing family that not only raised a motocross prodigy, but a well-spoken, polite, and funny kid to boot.  It seems like we’ve been waiting forever for him to reach the pro ranks, but I assure you it will be worth the wait.  While the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship is being contested across the country, the sport’s next generation of stars are paying their dues in the amateur trenches.  AC will give us his customary summer breakdown as the 30th anniversary of the Loretta Lynn’s AMA Amateur National Championship is just a few weeks away where the best riders fight for those prestigious titles in Hurricane Mill, TN.

We want to thank MX Sports, Racer X, OGIO, Skull Candy, Thor, Concept 2 Rowers, Coach Robb Beams and Vurb Moto for their continued support of the show. We heart you guys.
