  • Hookit.com and Monster Energy Announce Spots & Sessions Tour
Nationwide road show will visit 150 skate, motocross, BMX, wake and surf spots this summer

San Diego, California: Hookit.com, the world’s largest social network for action sports, is pleased to announce the Spots and Sessions tour. Developed in conjunction with Monster Energy, the nationwide tour kicked off at Krause Family Skatepark (Clairemont) in San Diego on May 31st and will return September 15th after logging an incredible 11,000 miles.

Using the Hookit.com RV as a backdrop, the Tour will visit and promote nearly 150 skate, motocross, surf, BMX, mountain bike and wake spots and retailers around the country, while featuring top local athletes and running contests and giveaways for athletes on hand to win products and swag from tour partners Piranha X, Osiris Shoes, GoPro Cameras, Spy Optic and AXO USA.

The Tour was developed to promote the launch of Hookit’s new ‘Spots & Sessions’ feature and iPhone and Android mobile applications, which provide location-based deal and promotion services to brands and local businesses. Monster Energy will host contests, sample its beverages and enlist athletes into their popular Monster Army program.

Using the Hookit.com mobile apps, daily activities will be performed including spot check-ins and posting photo, videos and athlete features to Hookit.com, Facebook and Twitter with tour sponsor integration and location-based promotions. Ongoing Tour updates will be broadcasted via media partner Planet X TV throughout the summer.

Hookup My Local Spot
The Tour will visit a number of major regions across the nation, while building in some flexibility for member requested stops. Every Tuesday, Hookit.com will do a geo-targeted email highlighting where the tour has been and where it’s going next. That’s when members in the upcoming area will have the ability to get involved and request the tour stops at their local spot. Based on activity, the bus will then go where the action is.

Currently, the Tour’s 11,000 mile route will travel through major cities and regions, including:

Southern California

San Francisco, CA

Lake Tahoe, CA

Portland, OR

Seattle, WA

Boise, ID

Salt Lake City, UT

Denver, CO

Kansas City, MO

Chicago, IL

Metro New York

New Jersey

Pennsylvania

Wilmington, NC

Orlando, FL

Atlanta, GA

Dallas, TX

Phoenix, AZ
