Rattray/Millsaps/Ping/Cox on DMXS Radio Tonight
June 1, 2011 3:15pm
Pro Circuit’s Tyla Rattray is the kind of guy you’d want to have your back in a bar fight, or any fight. The former GP world champion is known for his toughness and actually wore insulated underwear at Texas because it wasn’t as scorching as last year. He was overheard saying to folks in his autograph line, “This isn’t South Africa hot so quit complaining. Now drop and give me twenty or go stand by the fan with Dean Wilson because you‘re blocking the sun.” His fitness and determination paid off for the overall and we’ll catch up with master of Freestone tonight.
A lot of interesting story lines have developed in just the first two rounds and the resurgence of JGR’s Davi Millsaps is certainly one of them. I have to admit that we’re a bit biased towards our longtime friend and southern neighbor and are genuinely happy for him and the team. He busted my balls that we only have him on when he does good so let’s hope this trend continues throughout the summer!
Racer X’s David Pingree may have taken a step back from the sport to pursue his other dream in life but we know he still has his finger on the hot, dry dusty pulse of the sport in California. He’s been on the show probably a hundred times because he never disappoints and we’re also contractually obligated through 2018 with certain minimums. Tune in to hear the silky ramblings of a our favorite madman.
Steve Cox is a nomad motocross journalist that does his best work when left alone to independently traverse the sport his own unique way while smacking as many hornet’s nests with his keyboard as possible along the journey. Steve and I often disagree on things, but I’ve always admired his work and passion in covering the sport. He’s a responsible journalist that always strives to get the story right, and that goes a long way in my book. It’s been a while so we have lots to catch up on and bench race about tonight.
