WORTHAM, TX, - The RiderDown Foundation (RDF) announced today
they will be hosting a fundraising and informational booth Memorial Day
weekend during the Lucas Oil AMA Motocross Championship at Freestone County
Raceway in Wortham, Texas on May 27-30, 2011. The RiderDown Foundation is a
non-profit organization that helps off road riders of all types when they
are injured while doing what they love. The RiderDown staff consists of a
group of volunteers that graciously donate their time and energy when help
is needed most.
RiderDown is thrilled that Tony Miller of Freestone County Raceway has
invited them to the Lucas Oil AMA Nationals again this year. Tony has been
a huge supporter of the RiderDown Foundation. His efforts and help in
bringing awareness and donations to the cause have been greatly appreciated.
"I think the 2011 National at Freestone is set for a new level of success."
says Mr. Miller. "With the event on Memorial weekend, it allows spectators
plenty of time for travel, including trips with their RVs to camp. We have
plenty of amateur racing set for the weekend with a Night Race on Friday,
May 27th, the National on Saturday May 28th, then back to amateur racing
Sunday through Monday, May 29th and30th. There is a vintage race on a new
track, a cross country race set with a 5 mile course thru the ranch, the
Women's Amateur Championship - the WMA Cup and Amateur Day all held on the
National Track." According to Tony, "We have something for everyone and
we're very pleased that RiderDown will be a part of this exciting weekend."
The RiderDown Foundation has helped out hundreds of injured off road riders
and their families when they needed it most. Come by and visit the booth to
find out more about RiderDown and the various ways for you to get involved
and show your support. There will be a silent auction with some great stuff
from a number of riders and industry sponsors. RDF will have t-shirts, hats
and wristbands available. If you would like to donate to RiderDown and will
not be attending the Nationals, you can go online to www.riderdown.org.
About RiderDown Foundation: With a nationwide network of volunteers ready to
lend support and assistance to injured riders, RiderDown is actively giving
back to the amateur off road community. As a non-profit, 501(c)3 charitable
organization, RiderDown has been delivering on its mission of "Helping
Riders Up" since 2005. Dedicated to helping responsible off-road
motorcyclists who have been injured, proceeds are used to provide assistance
to riders and their families when faced with medical expenses and related
issues. In cooperation with their partners in the field of medical bill
review, RDF has saved injured riders thousands of dollars on excessive
and/or unnecessary medical charges. RiderDown Angels visit injured riders
in the hospital and at home, offering a friendly voice during difficult
times. To find out more about RiderDown and ways you can help, go to
