Mad Skills Motocross for iOS Releases New Update
Includes two free new tracks, two free new rider/bike skins, and a variety of realistic and fantasy rider/bike skins for purchase
Morgantown, W.Va. – Mad Skills Motocross, the smash-hit side-scrolling racing game from Swedish developer Turborilla, has released an update with a variety of new add-ons. Players will now have access to two free new tracks, “Hustle n Flow” and “Alaskan Pipeline,” the latter of which was named by avid Mad Skills player and satellite radio personality Jason Ellis.
This update also introduces the first opportunity for users to change the rider and motorcycle they use in gameplay. There are now 12 additional characters to choose from—ranging from realistic to pure fantasy—some of which are free, and others of which are available as in-app purchases. The new rider/bike skins do not differ in performance from the standard character, and thus offer no competitive advantage in gameplay.
New free track "Alaskan Pipeline"
To access these new tracks, gamers simply need to update to the 1.7 version of Mad Skills Motocross (available now at http://mad.mx/hcvL6U), tap the “More Tracks” button on the main menu, and then the “Free Tracks” button. New characters can be found by tapping the “More Bikes” button on the main menu.
There are now a total of 80 available tracks for Mad Skills Motocross for iOS.
Additionally, developers Turborilla announced today plans to launch free “Series Play” in a future update. While details are still being finalized and are subject to change, initial plans are to release a free new track every week for 14 weeks, creating a 14-round series. Each track will come with three different computer opponents to beat—one at the bronze level, one at the silver level, and one at the gold level. Prizes will be awarded to various competitors each week. At the end of 14 rounds, every player who has earned at least 10 gold trophies throughout the series will be invited to race in an exclusive championship round to compete for a variety of in-game and physical prizes. More details will be released in the coming weeks.
Mad Skills Motocross is available in the iTunes App Store now for only 99 cents and is compatible with the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. To purchase, go to: For more information, visit the official Mad Skills Motocross for iOS webpage: www.madskillsmx.com.
