Bluffdale, UT – OGIO would like to congratulate sponsored rider Dean Wilson on his third win of the season. Wilson’s win came in front of a huge crowd of over 50,000 fans at the seventh round of the AMA Supercross Lites Eastern Region championship in Dallas. Teammate Blake Baggett fought hard after a lackluster start to earn a seventh place by the end of the main.
Baggett started off the night with a bang as he dominated his heat race and looked to be in good shape for the main until an unfortunate start had him outside of the top 10. “Tonight was a bummer because I felt good and it obviously showed in my heat race,” said Baggett. “It’s always hard when your results don’t show the effort you put in, but I know a podium is close. Next weekend I’ll be pushing harder and taking more chances to try and get back up there.”
Wilson’s win moved him 3 points closer in the title chase and with a little bit of luck could be right there when the series wraps up in Las Vegas. “This (win) means so much,” said Wilson. “It wasn’t an easy race. I’ve been battling the stomach flu all day. I just kept pushing and didn’t give up. It went all to way to last lap, which was fun for everyone here. I made a pass on him and he got me back, then I got by again, he stuffed me and I stalled. I had one last chance to get him and I stuck it.”
