40th Annual World Mini Grand Prix Info
The 40th Annual World Mini Grand Prix will be presented in Mesquite, Nevada, April 11th through April 17th on an all new track layout. There is no qualifying for this great annual motocross event and no limit to number of classes riders can enter.
GIANT PRO PURSE: In addition to the $20,000 plus in contingencies that the factories are offering the pros, NMA awards a $6,000.00 purse to the pros which covers all six classes available. The World Mini Grand Prix has always been the "showcase" for the up and coming pros beginning with Jeff Ward and up through McGrath, Windham, Carmichael, Pastrana, Stewart, Dungey and Villapoto.
FACTORY CONTINGENCIES: Over $200,000 is being offered by the six major motorcycle factories for the various classes. World championship trophies will be awarded in each of the amateur classes.
CLASSES FOR ALL: In addition to all the motorcycle classes, both stock and modified for all levels of ability, there are five pee wee classes, in addition to the 65cc and 85cc classes offered based on age groups. College Student 18-25 years has been added to this year's classes.
Gates will open at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, April 11 allowing the motor homes, vans, trucks and displays into the park. Post entries will be taken between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday only for those who have not mailed in their entries.
Practice for all classes will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday and run through conclusion. Racing will begin Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m. and will continue starting at 8:00 a.m. every day .
With the all new track facility and the outstanding contingencies, prizes and awards, this year's World Mini Grand Prix promises to be the premier event of 2011. No advance events or practice is scheduled for the all new track which will make it equal competition for all.
