X-Brand Goggles Mike Alessi Scores Season Best in Jacksonville

Team Red Bull/KTM Mike Alessi went into his hometown race in Jacksonville hoping to keep his second half momentum going at round 11 of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross series. With his familiar number 800 and his signature X-Brand (EKS) goggles on, the transplanted Californian was among friends and family and maybe that helped him grab two important holeshots on this night.

Alessi’s KTM 350 hooked up strong and he was the first rider to the first turn in both his heat race and the all-important main event.  From the Mike raced hard and in a stacked field, he ended up on the night with a strong seventh. The finish helped Alessi in the points and right now, with six races remaining, he’s just outside the top ten.

“It was a good race for me, I’m happy to get the starts that I did and I am working hard to try and get to that next level of riders” said Mike after the main event “My goggles worked great tonight, it was hot and humid but they were great all day and night.”
