R2R Collecting Donations for the Ian Trettel Recovery Fund

Scottsdale, AZ –On Saturday, March 5^th 2011, Rockstar Energy Suzuki rider Ian Trettel sustained a head injury during practice at the AMA Supercross event in Daytona Beach, Florida. He was quickly taken to Halifax Medical Center, where he was place in a medically induced coma. The accident caused bleeding and swelling in his brain and have both been stabilized with medical and surgical interventions.

“Ian is making progress each day and we are becoming more and more confident that he will make a full recovery. He continues to give us signs to keep us hopeful.  It is difficult to make a prognosis right now because that is just how head injuries go. Elaine and I are overwhelmed with the love and concern that is coming from all of our friends and everyone inside the motocross community; this is what is going to make his recovery possible.”
