BTOSports.com Suzuki’s Byrne Comes Through at Daytona

There aren’t too many more tracks on the AMA Supercross series as challenging as the obstacle-laden track that is laid out in the infield at the historic Daytona Speedway. The pristine grass gets torn up and the black sand of Florida creates the gnarliest bumps and square edges on the circuit.
After missing a good part of the beginning of the year recovering from an injury, the BTOSports.com/BBMX/Palmetto Suzuki rider Michael Byrne is getting better each and every week and in Daytona, Byrner was involved in a couple of collisions with other riders and still carded a 14th in the main event.
“This track definitely took a toll on me and everyone out here. It wasn’t great on the wrist” said Byrne after the race “Still, I’m getting better and I think I would have been right there in the top ten if I hadn’t been taken out. I got their numbers though and it’s a long season.”
The teams other rider, privateer hero Jason Thomas, is still trying to ride through his injuries suffered at Houston didn’t make the main event but he’s trying his best out there. Let’s all cut him a bit of slack, his injuries would cause people to put horses down!
Thank you to our sponsors and there’s no way we could go racing without their help:
