Injured Flagger Makes Progress

Las Vegas, NV -A 15 year old Las Vegas native, Kyle Crider was tragically injured while caution flagging at a practice event at Boulder City Motocross mid-February, 2011. Crider, a direct relative to the facility owners, was unprotected and hit by an oncoming motorcycle while attempting to flag for a downed rider. Crider was transported via helicopter to UMC Trauma in Las Vegas, where he has remained in ICU for the past 3 weeks in critical condition. He suffered multiple injuries, including head trauma and brain swelling.
Boulder City Motocross is pleased to report Kyle has been taken off the ventilator and is now breathing on his own. The doctors agree his progress has been steady and he is recovering faster than they had anticipated. Kyle was moved from ICU earlier this week into a rehabilitation center and has been moving, opening his eyes and responding to others and has started physical and mental therapy. We are all very optimistic about his recovery.
One last note, Kyle's family does not have health insurance. If you'd like to make a donation, donations are being accepted on pay pal at "KYLE CRIDER BENEFIT". The family has been grateful for the support of MSR, Answer Racing and Pro Taper and all the others who have been so generous in the family's time of need
