Hart and Huntington Signs FMX Protégé Lance Coury
Nearing his 21 birthday, Lance is filling out and polishing his skills on the bike. The bag of tricks is better than ever, the resume is marked with high profile accolades and his dedication to riding is ever persistent. Sponsors like Nike 6.0, Swatch, and Red Bull are lining up behind Coury and he even went as far as to develop his very own useful motocross oriented product called “The Moto-Gate”.
Coury’s drive to ride associated Lance with freestyle icon, Carey Hart. Carey noticed up-and-coming FMX Rider break on to the scene a little over 3 years ago. Since then, Carey and Lance have become fast friends and often rode together several times a week. Carey soon offered Lance the opportunity to ride under the Hart and Huntington label.
During a TWMX interview at the recent Tucker Rocky Open House, Lance explained how it all went down. “I just signed with Hart and Huntington for 2011. I was able to work it out with other sponsors. I am buddies with Mike Mason and real close with Carey. We go riding together about four times a week. I am real stoked to be a part of the Hart and Huntington Family.”
Carey Hart had this to say about bringing Lance Coury into the Hart and Huntington FMX Team. “Lance is just one of those kids that have been riding his whole life. At a young age he steered his efforts into Freestyle and quickly developed notable skills. I have known Coury for while now and have become a sort of mentor to him. Lance is a great addition to the Team Roster and we look forward to having him represent Hart and Huntington around the world at Red Bull X-Fighters and here in the states at X-Games & Dew Tour.”
Lance will be the featured rider in a Hart and Huntington Tattoo ad campaign and is sporting the “4 bar” Logo on his bike and jersey. Be sure to check out his rider profile on http://www.hartandhuntington.com/ and follow his twitter; @LAnceCoury
