Anaheim, CA Anaheim 1 (A1) Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship
HOUSTON – An extraordinary semi hauler was loaded in Houston, Texas with well-equipped KTM 250SX-F race bikes and parts earlier this week to head to Anaheim, California for the opening round of Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM Championship. Team Violation1.com/Shea Racing/Travisa/National Switchgear will make its debut with an impressively-expanded program that includes West Region Supercross Lites riders Austin Howell and Casey Hinson.

Howell of Red Bluff, Calif. will compete on the number 61 KTM 250 SX-F and Hinson of Clovis, Calif. will be on the number 149 KTM. Both riders are new to the team and are expected to make the AMA Supercross night program this Saturday, January 8 at Angel Stadium of Anaheim and compete for main event spots in the 250cc Lites Class.

Shea Racing has been running the AMA Supercross series for the past two seasons, though in a much smaller form. Last season it had three riders on their own race bikes hauled by a 40-foot team transporter. This season, Shea Racing received corporate sponsorship from National Switchgear and Travisa along with KTM factory support through Munn Racing that led to supporting five riders in the AMA Supercross West and East Regions and the purchase of a new semi hauler.

“The last two months we completely focused on signing the riders, getting the KTM race bikes and team semi prepped, and taking care of all the other essentials,” said Tim Shea, team manager. “Its not all about the funds – it's a huge time investment that takes passion to put a team together of this magnitude. I am excited to see it come to completion this Saturday when we hit the track! I anticipate Austin and Casey will compete for main event spots at Anaheim 1. The crew will do everything possible to support them."

Team Violation1.com/Shea Racing/Travisa/National Switchgear purchased a new semi hauler for this season which was originally built for the Bobby Rahal Indy Car program. Shea and others spent the last two months outfitting the hauler with new cabinets, flooring, leather seats and other amenities to accommodate the riders and crew during race weekends. The truck and trailer were wrapped with a uniquely-artistic and standout purple and yellow graphic treatment.

Shea continued, "I want to thank our new primary sponsors that have invested in our team. They see the marketing impact by associating with an AMA Supercross team. This includes National Switchgear and Travisa. I also want to thank the many industry sponsors, including Munn Racing KTM, that are providing us the premium equipment, performance parts and resources to make a full season run on both coasts.”

Team Violation1.com/Shea Racing/Travisa/National Switchgear powered by Munn Racing KTM will make its debut at the Monster Energy AMA Supercross opener on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Angel Stadium of Anaheim in Anaheim, Calif. Make sure to be there to see the West Region Lites team riders running in the night program on their orange KTM 250SX-F race bikes tuned by Eleven 10 Mods with DR.D exhausts and Enzo Suspension. Drop by the team pits to meet the Violation Goggle girls and see the team’s new purple and yellow race hauler. Keep posted to the team at www.sheamoto.com.
