Emig/Cudby/Matthes on DMXS Radio Tonight
January 5, 2011, 3:50pm
Feld Motosports announced the sport’s most ambitious television broadcast schedule ever for the 2011 Monster Energy AMA Supercross championship. The races will be seen on both SPEED and CBS Sports again this season, including seven rounds aired live. Jeff Emig will be in the booth for the entire series and will join us tonight for the final off-season bench racing session before the gate drops this weekend at Anaheim.
Simon Cudby is the Leonardo da Vinci of motocross. He continues to produce masterpiece after masterpiece every year seeming to fight an internal battle to somehow outdo himself with each click of the shutter. Simon is in the trenches throughout the year to bring motocross fans his take on our sport through his photography and videography skills. He usually just blends into the background like some English-born ninja, but we’ll put the spotlight on him for a change.
Geico Powersports Honda’s Wil Hahn will join us each and every week throughout the entire championship to give our listeners a weekly-blog like series. Wil will take us behind-the-scenes through the good times and bad for a truly unique and honest weekly look at racing at the highest level starting tonight.
Steve Matthes’ Pulp MX Show celebrated their first anniversary and we wanted to get our favorite Vegas-based Canadian on tonight to give him our congratulations. The show is full of good banter and great information and is a must have podcast subscription if you’re not already. Matthes will help break down the last morsel of bench racing before the actual racing starts this weekend. You can check out all his Pulitzer Prize winning submissions at www.pulpmx.com.
MX Sport’s Tim Cotter is busy preparing for the Second-Annual Ricky Carmichael Daytona Amateur Supercross Championship and Ricky Carmichael University on March 6 and 7. Both events were a huge success last year and the riders and their families were treated to one of the most unique and fun experiences offered to the public on the historic Daytona SX track. Tim will be on to give us all the details tonight, but registration is open, so go to www.mxsports.com for more information. DMXS Radio will be hosting a contest in the upcoming weeks for a free scholarship into the Ricky Carmichael University, so stay tuned!
CompleteRacingSolutions.com’s Robb Beams is a big part of DMXS and we’re proud to have him on our show regularly to offer his popular training and nutrition advice. Robb will be once again fielding questions from our chat room, or you can email them directly to the show. We’ll also see how his impressive stable of riders is doing as the 2011 race season has launched.
Would you like a chance at winning $100,000 just for being a great bench racer? Only Promotofan.com gives you that opportunity, along with other awesome prizes throughout the season, to do something we all do already. Jeff Hopkins will be on tonight with all the specifics, but a lot of us played this last year and it was a blast. Can’t wait to take on the sport’s best to see who comes out with the championship plate for bench racing without all the risk of injuries from real racing.
