Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green Mines Gold at Mini O’s

Irvine, Calif. – Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green was the most successful team this past week at the Winter National Olympics at Gatorback Cycle Park in Gainesville, Fla. bringing home 20 titles during the weeklong Thanksgiving tradition. All told Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green took home 66 podium finishes.

Multiple Champions
The Monster Energy Kawasaki team collected a lot of hardware during the week with Chase Bell and Justin Starling grabbing three titles each. Zachary Bishop-Burnet, Leah Cantrell, Earl May, Colby Mullins, and Matt Tedder Sr. each brought home two titles as Kawasaki once again led all manufacturers with 20 championships.

"It was a great week for us in Florida," said Ryan Holliday, Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green Supervisor. "This event brings our 2010 season to a close and we are looking forward to another successful year in 2011 with a new lineup of riders that will keep us up front."

Ironman
Not only is Mini O’s a Thanksgiving tradition for most of the amateur racing community, it is also home to many special awards. This year Staring earned the CTI Ironman Award, which is given to the rider who displays exceptional strength and determination on and off the track.

Titles
Also collecting titles at the event were Brad Frace and Augie Lieber in supercross competition with Mark Worth and Brad Smith bringing home championships during the motocross events.

Mix and Match
The Winter National Olympics is a unique format that features supercross racing early in the week followed by two motorcross motos to close out the event. The different disciplines force the riders to show a wide variety of racing skill to be successful.

With 2010 coming to a close, Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green collected 99 amateur championships during the years six major events.

"We had a very successful year in 2010," said Holliday. "We have a great group of riders as part of our team and our success is shown both on and off the track. We have set the bar high for ourselves and we want to keep raising it every year."
