MX-Tech Reinvents Huck Valve

MX-Tech Suspension reinvents the wheel again with the new "Huck Valve"

What is the Huck Valve?
The Speed Sensitive Bottoming  Control Valve (SSBCV) or "HUCK VALVE" came about as a way of more effectively dealing with the issues of fork bottoming control.  The systems currently utilized have plagued the suspension industry and rider alike.  The question has always been; "How can I get plush suspension and not get that metal to metal harshness when I bottom my forks"?

Introducing the Huck Valve.
At MX-Tech, it became very clear that we needed a solution that has two very critical characteristics.

#1. Put in place new technology that was more forgiving than the industry standard "V" shaped tapered bottoming device currently used for high speed bottoming (high velocity of fork, e.g. coming up short on a jump or large square edge braking bump faces).

#2. Allow the fork to utilize the entire length travel with control and a plush feel during slower movements of fork (low velocity of fork, e.g. normal braking bumps, g-outs.)
Conventional methods of Controlling Bottoming.

Solution Effect
Stiffer valving and increased spring rate. Reduced feel and control.
Increased oil volume Mid-stroke harshness as air spring becomes too progressive.
Bigger oil lock and piston. Harsh high-speed bottoming with un-utilized travel.
Velocity controlled spring seats. Promotes mid-stroke harshness during high speed movements, is not sensitive enough.

Today’s technology has been a constant battle of modifying valving to achieve this….Until Now….
The HUCK VALVE uses a special Patent Pending valve in parallel with a unique cylinder design that allows the fork to be both position and speed sensitive.   What does that mean?  You no longer have to valve a bike so stiff to control bottoming with the result of it being harsh everywhere else.

The SSBCV or "HUCK VALVE" is the first technology of its kind in fork bottoming control that will allow fork design and tuning to evolve.  It is soft when it needs to be and stiff when you need control.

The "HUCK VALVE" has been proven in all forms of off-road competition and dramatically improves the management of bottoming control in both high and low speed bottom outs. It allows for very linear, plush fork set-ups without concern for bottoming resistance.

The SSBCV takes fork bottoming control to new a new level of sophistication.
The Factory CAS Honda Team says, "Great bottoming control.  We wouldn’t race without it!"
The Huck Valve….. Confidence by Design.
