Rattray Signs Lifetime Contract

Tyla Rattray is yet to turn 25, but he has already completed his eleventh year in professional motocross racing. During the course of this period, the South African has gotten used to sign agreements of all kinds. Team agreements, sponsorship agreements, appearances, you name it. Last weekend, the young man put his pen to paper to sign a lifetime agreement, however, when he tied the knot with longtime sweetheart Samantha Noppe.

The beaming couple, who both hail from Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa, had no doubts as to where the ceremony was to take place. Samantha had been busy for close on a year, planning her dream day in the finest detail. They chose the Collisheen Estate near their Ballito home as the venue for the wedding. The locale brings new meaning to the word picturesque. The open chapel looks out across verdant rolling hills, and as the day progressed, a chorus of frogs provided musical accompaniment. The estate borders a cheetah sanctuary, and the more enthusiastic guests were well advised not to wander too far off , especially once festivities got going, lest the phrase finger lunch assumed a different meaning altogether.

Tyla is well used to traveling down the start straight with cheetah-like speed, but once he summoned up the courage, he ambled down the aisle at an altogether more sedate pace this time round. The assembled guests were left in no doubt that this couple was meant for each other, and the mutual love and respect beamed out of them as they exchanged their vows.

Once the blessing had been given and the couple had returned from their photo session, the party could start in all earnest. After the obligatory round of speeches, the dancing started, and once the proceedings had been suitably oiled up, there was no stopping the party.

The happy couple basked in the congratulations of all, and after a good night's rest, drove to the Wild Coast for a bit of a honeymoon. Tyla will enjoy a few weeks off, but after that he will be up and at it again to prepare for the 2011 racing season. Take a look at the videos below:
