Joey Savatgy Wins Two Australian Junior Titles
Joey Savatgy, age 16 from Thomasville, Georgia, won two junior titles in the recently completed Australian Junior Motocross Championships held at the Lake Macquarie Motorcycle Club in New South Wales. This is the second trip down under for Joey who won two titles in last year’s event. Racing in the 100-150 2 stroke class Joey won by a single point over Australian Dylan Long. In the 200-250 4 stroke 15yr old class Joey won by 5 points over Australians Jake Vella and Jacob Wright.
Colleen Millsaps, who accompanied Joey and two other MTF riders, Dakota Alix and Austin Simpson, could not be happier with the way all three of her riders performed, "For Joey to come down here and win two more titles against some very good competition says a lot about him as a competitor. It’s a great experience for these riders and I am very proud of how all three of them rode".
MTF provides motocross training programs for riders of all ages and skill level and is located in Cairo, Georgia.
