BTOSports.com/BBMX/Palmetto Suzuki Monster Energy Sponsor Cup Race Report

BTOSports.com / BBMX / Palmetto Suzuki came out swinging at round 15 of the Monster Energy Sponsor Cup series in Dade City, FL - taking the teams 3rd win and 10th overall podium of the series.
 
BTOSports.com team rider Kyle Keylon would qualify in the 3rd spot after timed qualifying.  Keylon would then use his gate pick to pull an excellent start, rounding the first turn tied for the lead with fellow national FL rider Matt Georke.  Unfortunately the speed the two riders carried and unwillingness to let off, saw both riders hitting the dirt hard, with Keylon remounting in last place.  Keylon would make a charge back up to the front of the pack, eventually crossing the finish line in 5th place.
 
The second moto would find Keylon in the top 5 off the start, eventually working his way up to 2nd - right behind series points leader Mike Picone.  Keylon would hound Picone for the final few laps, but was unable to get around him for the moto win.  However, a 10th place first moto finish for Picone would hand the overall win on the night to Keylon, allowing him to close up 40 points on Picone in the overall series.
 
With only 6 rounds to go, Keylon sits 2nd overall in the points chase, with Picone sitting on top.  Things are definitely going to be heating up, so make sure to check out the videos on the remaining Monster Energy Sponsor Cup races on www.dadecitymx.com.
