HOUSTON  – Shea Racing is proud to announce that National Switchgear has signed on to become the team’s primary sponsor for the 2011 Monster Energy AMA Supercross series. National Switchgear is making its first sponsorship move into action sports, partnering to field a large squad of competitive athletes. Officially, the team will be known as Violation1.com/Shea Racing/National Switchgear.

National Switchgear manufactures, rebuilds, distributes and services electrical power distribution equipment, switchgearand circuit breakers. It is based in Lewisville, Texas which is near Dallas.

"We are very pleased to be teamed up with Tim Shea of Violation1.com/Shea Racing for the 2011 AMA Supercross season," said Adam Tappe, sales manager, National Switchgear. "This is a perfect fit for National Switchgear to get its feet wet in the number one action sport in the world. National Switchgear's business philosophy of integrity, honesty, quality, dependability, safety and peace of mind, all which go hand-in-hand with the way Tim operates the team. We have an unbelievable group of people and we are really looking forward to the start of the season on January 8 at the series opener in Anaheim, California."

National Switchgear’s sponsorship enables Shea Racing to further expand its program. The team will likely have six riders all competing in the Lites Class in both East and West Regions of the AMA Supercross series. Last year, the entire team was independently funded of any major sponsor and it stepped up to compete at all 17 rounds in both classes.

"I’m very excited to partner with National Switchgear," said Tim Shea, team owner. "Doug and Adam have been amazing to work with. From the rounds that they attended last season, they realized just how big this sport has become and as a business they saw the many opportunities to reach an audience of loyal fans. I want to thank National Switchgear for this partnership. Next season looks to be our best year ever. I cannot wait until A1!"

The team will be making additional announcements soon and is in the process of securing its riders.
