Matiss Karro Confirmed for Motocross of Nations
Team MVR-D Suzuki rider, Matiss Karro, will be making his way to the Rocky Mountains in the USA next week, as the Latvian star takes his place in the 2010 Motocross of Nations.
Confirmed earlier this week as a Latvian team rider, Karro will be looking to fly his country flag high at the Thunder Valley track, at the foot of the Rocky Mountains near Denver in Colorado, as he and teammates Ivo Steinbergs and Lauris Freibergs represent their country.
Karro, who is Latvia's MX2 team rider commented, "Naturally I'm delighted to be back at the MX of Nations. This will be the third time I have represented my country at this event and I'm obviously very proud and honoured to do this. Before America I will ride at the Red Bull Pro Nationals at Wakes Colne this weekend, then I fly home to Latvia on Monday where I'll join my teammates before we fly out to America."
Team manager, Mark Chamberlain, commented, "Congratulations to Matiss for making the team once again. He always puts in 100 percent and I'm sure this will be no different at the nations. I'd also like to thank Jeff Cernic of Cernics Suzuki for his kind support of Matiss during the event."
Once back from the USA, Matiss will compete in the final round of the Maxxis British Motocross Championship at Hawkstone Park, where he hopes to maintain and even improve on his top-ten series position.
The Motocross of Nations takes place on the 25th and 26th September at the Thunder Valley Motocross Park, near Denver, Colorado. For more information visit www.tvmx.net
