“Demo Days” at Horseshoe Bend MX a Success

August 21st, 2010, marked the first annual "Demo Days" at Horseshoe Bend MX Park pre- sented by Gateway Cycles Kawasaki and Fly Racing. The day started out a little rough with some rain for about three hours. It was looking like the day was going to be a wash, literally. The rain stopped about 11:30 with some sun shine and wind to follow. With some brave souls leading the way out to start getting some traffic on the track, the drying process started. Things shaped up to be a great day on and off the track while everyone had time to inspect the new Kawasaki’s and Fly race wear and some great riding conditions. Overall, the weekend was a great success and we hope to have more track sponsors participate in showcasing their new product lines next year.

"This demo day was awesome and an experience I will never forget! We had over 50 inter- views with riders as they pulled up on the bikes they just demo'd. We received great feedback from the riders on things like comparisons to their current rides, power delivery, suspension performance and ease of handling. The event started off with a fantastic exhibition race on all of the new 2011's by a group of expert riders from the Gateway Cycles Race Team including Matt Vonlinger, Luke Vonlinger, Bryce Gartman, Travis Hardcastle and Horseshoe Bend MX Park manager Jimmy Povolny. This group of riders were bunched together and turning some really hot laps and all who were watching were so pumped up they just couldn't wait to get their turn! I can't wait until the 2012 models come out so we get to do this again."

"Demo day @ Horseshoe Bend went great! I think riders/racers enjoyed testing out the new 2011 Kawasaki's, and checking out the new 2011 FLY gear. A lot of people in this area don't get the opportunity to do this often, so it was very beneficial to everyone. The staff at Horse- shoe Bend did an excellent job, even when some were skeptical about the brief rain we had, which ended up making the track primo for the rest of the day.
