Past Champions Join the 9th Annual Baja Brawl
Millington, MI – With the ultimate motocross summer festival only a couple of weeks away, Baja Acres have received calls from people throughout North America who are excited about celebrating the 9th Annual Baja Brawl this Labor Day Weekend, September 3 – 6, 2010.
Over the last few weeks professional athletes, amateur motocross up-and-comers, and celebrity guests have been calling in to get all the juicy details on the upcoming events, as well as what the Baja Brawl has in store for them and their families.
"We’re really excited about all of the buzz and support we’ve received so far", says Baja Acres owner Patrick Grzebinski. "People are traveling from all over the country to come and experience the Baja Brawl, so we’re pulling out all the stops this year to make sure that every one of our guests has an amazing Labor Day adventure here in Michigan."
Patrick went on to say that he’s especially excited about a handful of top amateur motocross racers who have called to confirm their arrival for the event. 2010 Loretta Lynn Amateur National Motocross Championships graduates like Justin Starling, Tristan Charboneau, Chase Sexton, and Jack Rogers have all confirmed their attendance, representing Honda Racing, Rock River Yamaha, and Cobra Motorcycles respectively.
Another popular and entertaining figure in the world of motocross has recently taken notice and decided to come be a part of the Baja Brawl as well. In fact, the 3-time Summer X Games competitor lives in the "mitten’s" Upper Peninsula, and is known for his double-backflips and signature leather garden gloves and hockey jerseys. That’s right, Scott Murray will be performing a variety of aerial stunts at the Baja Brawl, alongside fellow Sick Air FMX riders Paul Smith and Josh "Who Ha".
Other notable competitors and performances include Wakeskate World Champion Austin Hair, as well as Recording Artist and Actor Ques Kross. Both will be part of the Brawl’s "Pond Palooza" presented by Otsego Club and Resort, where Austin will be competing in the second Annual Union Park Winch Jam while Ques Kross will be performing on stage later that evening alongside motocross racer and aspiring rapper Brandon Mays (AKA B Mayzee).
Aside from the new 3-moto, amateur championship racing format, the Baja Brawl will have over 10 other action sports competitions and attractions, as well as over $10,000 in cash and prizes awarded throughout the weekend.
