Suzuki City’s Sherri Cruse to Returns to Racing on a Firestop/Fuel Dr. Inspired Bike at X Games

  • Suzuki City’s Sherri Cruse to Returns to Racing on a Firestop/Fuel Dr. Inspired Bike at X Games

Bend, Oregon. – Suzuki City Nitro Circus and Thor MX’s Sherri Cruse, will return to women’s professional racing aboard a Firestop/Fuel Dr. inspired Suzuki RMZ 250 at the upcoming ESPN Summer X Games 16.

Cruse, a former X Games Women’s SX Silver Medalist and the current AMA WMX National Number # 3, injured her wrist and back at the opening round of the Motorcycleusa.com Women’s Motocross Championship on May 29th. The 21 year old is now ready to compete for Gold and the largest women’s racing prize purse in the sport in the Women’s Super X event at the X Games.

The competition will take place on Thursday, July 29th, and Saturday, at the Los Angeles Coliseum. Seeding will take place on Wednesday with the main event at 6:15 on Thursday. The main event will be carried live on ESPN Thursday, July 29th along with men’s Super X, Skateboard Big Air and the Moto X Freestyle finals.

"I am excited to be representing Firestop/Fuel Doctor at the X Games" said Cruse "Their added support will help me go for the Gold Medal"

"This is a great opportunity for RWR and Firestop/Fuel Dr", stated owner Rick Ware. "Sherri defines the type of competitor and professionalism that we encompass in our organization."

As Cruse joins the Rick Ware Racing team, she is surrounded by Championship titles. RWR has won the three of the past four AMA Arenacross titles, two WMA Motocross Championships and eight Bowman-Gray Modified Titles in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Series. Ware Racing also competes in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and the AMA Motocross with such notables as Jeff Gibson, Jeffrey Earnhardt, Stanton Barrett, Tim Brown, Chrissy Wallace, Bobby Hamilton Jr., and Brett Butler.
