Fly Racing Red Bud MX Race Report

The AMA Lucas Oil Motocross Championship made stop number six this past weekend in Buchanan, Michigan at the world famous Red Bud MX. Track and Weather conditions were perfect for a great day of racing for Fly Racing riders.

450 Class Highlights
Fly Riders Andrew Short, Weston Peick, Ben Evans, Kyle Regal, Josh Clark, and Terren O’Dell all qualified for Motos. In Moto one it was Honda Red Bull Racing’s Andrew Short with the holeshot leading the way for Fly Racing riding his way to a third place finish followed by Kyle Regal and Ben Evans not far behind in 7th and 13th. Fellow Fly riders Weston Peick and Josh Clark rounded out the top twenty finishing 17th and 19th.

In Moto two Andrew Short once again came out the gate strong with a second place start and rode his way to 5th place finish and 4th overall. Kyle Regal backed up his first moto performance with another 7th place finish in moto two and Ben Evans and Josh Clark once again rounded out the top twenty by finishing 16th and 17th respectively.

Lites Class Highlights
In the Lites class it was Fly riders Max Anstie, Broc Tickle, Martin Davalos, Alex Martin, Kyle Gills, along with privateers Hunter Clements, Preston Mull and Johnny Moore all making it out of timed qualifying to put themselves into motos for the day.

In Moto one it was DNA Shred Stix/Star Racing rider Broc Tickle Leading the way finishing 7th followed by fellow DNA rider Martin Davalos in 10th with fellow Fly rider Alex Martin close behind finishing 20th.

In Moto two it was more of the same, and leading the way was Broc Tickle finishing 6th with Martin Davalos finishing 8th followed closely by Alex Martin finishing 10th with fellow Fly rider Hunter Clements rounding out the top twenty finishing 17th.
