  • MX Ride For The Cure Combines Dirtbikes And Fundraising

TEMECULA, CA: MX Ride For the Cure is pleased to announce its fourth annual Ride Day presented by Kawasaki.  The event will take place on October 2, 2010 during breast cancer awareness month.  All proceeds will again be donated to Michelle’s Place, a breast cancer resource center helping women with the disease (see www.Michellesplace.org ).   The event will return to Cahuilla Creek Motocross Park in Anza, CA.  "We are happy to be holding the event at Cahuilla Creek Motocross where it all started in 2007.  Under new management, the park has made huge improvements to the facility over the last year which will only make the event even better," said Laurie Cary, Event Organizer.  Three tracks will be prepped and open for practice and several fundraising events will take place throughout the day, including a huge raffle, an auction, and the return of the Bra Parade (a huge hit last year).  Of course there will be vendors, pros, and celebrity appearances.  Women’s Pro Motocross Champion Ashley Fiolek will be there to sign autographs.  Pros past and present are looking forward to the event. Past Events have garnered a lot of media attention, and this year’s event will be no exception.

This year Kawasaki has signed on as a title sponsor.  Kawasaki has supported the event from the beginning and showed time and again a big desire to help the cause.  They will be back in full force with some great activities planned.  Other sponsors include Applied Racing, Dubach Racing Development, Utopia Optics, Allredy Canopy, MSR, Wahoos Fish Taco in Temecula, CRFsonly, Temecula Motorsports, Factory Connection, Dunlop Tires, Hart & Huntington, Factory Effex.

The ride day is definitely the main event but for the first time, fundraising will take place all year long giving those who can’t attend the ride day other opportunities to support this great cause.  At www.MXRideForTheCure.com you will find on-line donation, other fundraising events, and info on the new on-line auction which includes items such as Ryan Dungey autographed helmets and Ryan Villopoto’s autographed number plate, and more.  Check the website often for updates.

For Vending opportunities and raffle donations please contact the event organizer, Laurie Cary, at laurier4tc@gmail.com.
