Amateurs to Put First Laps in on New High Point Raceway
Morgantown, W.V. - This Friday the amateur riders will be the first to get to race on the newly rebuilt High Point Raceway. "Most of the track has been changed from the first turn on," says MX Sports' Jeff Russell. MX Sports brought in professional track builder Marc Peters of Petersbuilt Tracks to give the High Point track a facelift, and you can see a preview of the changes by clicking here. "We felt that some track changes would be good and wanted to create multiple options for some of the obstacles to improve racing," Russell added. "The track is always prepared to its best for the pro national weekend, and with these added changes the amateur riders are in for a special treat."
The Friday amateur day will offer classes for everyone from the D beginner classes to the A riders. The event will pay points for the PAMX Series, offer the usual race awards, plus give product awards. Riders can make a big weekend of it racing on Friday, watching Round 3 of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship on Saturday, then racing again on Sunday. Load up with your buddies and make the trip to High Point Raceway in Mount Morris. PA this weekend. For more information, visit www.highpointmx.com.
