Pirelli's Regal Rides Hard, Reaps Rewards in Texas
ROME, GA – After a tough start to the 2010 AMA Motocross Championships circuit where he finished 14th at the Hangtown Motocross Classic, Pirelli rider Kyle Regal was able to overcome his round one challenges and rode his Pirelli Scorpion MX tires to a season-best third-place finish at Freestone Raceway in Wrotham, TX last weekend. His first podium finish of the year moved him up to a top ten position in the season standings.
“We are extremely proud of Kyle,” said Josh Whitmire, Pirelli’s MX Manager. "We've been able to help him with his bike set up, and he raised the bar this weekend with his third-place finish. Kyle has a lot of heart and determination, and we look forward to seeing more of his great finishes this summer.”
Regal placed (6-2) placing him third overall behind 2010 AMA Supercross Champion Ryan Dungey and 2009 AMA Motocross Champion Chad Reed. After 2 rounds of 12, Regal currently ranks 8th in the AMA Motocross Championship points standings.
