Two for One Entries at Michigan S-M
CLIO, MICH. (May 25, 2010) – If you have never tried supermoto or are a current supermoto competitor who wants to race as much as possible, the Michigan SuperMoto Championship is offering you a sweet deal. With the first round of the 2010 Michigan SuperMoto Championship less than two weeks away, you can pre-register now by June 1, only pay for one class and ride two classes.
The first round takes place at Auto City Speedway in Clio, Michigan, just north of Flint. The course is based on an auto racing banked oval with a figure eight that is utilized with a dirt section to have an 80-20 asphalt-dirt supermoto course. Lap times for the pros are in the 1:10-minute range.
Competitors who want to take advantage of the race time and earn points in multiple classes can participate in two classes for the price of one -- but only until June 1. After that competitors will pay the $75 entry fee for the first class and $25 for the second. A racer who is more than 35 years-old can compete in both the Amateur and Vet 35+ or the Open and Vet 35+.
The Michigan SuperMoto Championship Beginner Class is intended for those who have never raced. The Amateur Class is for competitors who have experience racing in supermoto and also other forms of motorcycle racing. The Open Class is for pro racers and experts who have reached that level after multiple competition events and top finishes in lower classes. The Open Class has no license requirement. The Vet 35+ is for all competitors over the age of 35. All classes are open displacement size. There are also no club or association dues for all classes. Classes are eligible for series and single event awards and contingencies from Dubach Racing Development (DR.D), Bridgestone, Flagstar Bank, Dean Arbour Ford, Speed Technologies MX, Woody's Cycle, Silkolene and MISuperMoto.
To pre-register before by June 1, contact MISuperMoto.com’s Dave Duprey at barefootracing@yahoo.com or 810-459-1806.
