  • Jagermeister's 2010 MX Announcement

New Rochelle, NY. – Jägermeister, number one selling imported liqueur in America, motocross fan favorite and the brand known for consumer level innovative marketing programs and promotions, has partnered with KTM Motorsports for the 2010 motocross season. The Jägermeister/KTM Factory Racing Team will debut on May 22nd at the opening round of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship Series – The Hangtown Motocross Classic in California. The team will not only feature rider Mike Alessi but also a new generation of bikes; the 350 SX-F.

Jägermeister serves as the first and only spirit brand to act as a sponsor of Motocross. The brand first entered the sport in 2009 while partnering with MDK/KTM and is looking to continue involvement with the introduction of the Jägermeister/KTM Factory Team in 2010 with sole team rider Mike Alessi under leadership from team manager Casey Lytle. Alessi returned to the KTM Factory team for the second time in his pro career in October of 2009 to assist in the development of the 350cc motorcycle, the dream of 10 time motocross champion and Director of KTM Racing, Stefan Everts. Alessi’s trademark #800 will be on the 350 SX-F Jägermeister/KTM Factory Machine.

"I really appreciate having a sponsor like Jägermeister, not only for the support they provide the KTM team and me, but what they bring to the sport of motocross. I feel that they are part of a movement that is bringing our sport to the next level,” says Alessi.

Alessi’s adventurous approach to motocross riding and his innovative approach to the sport go hand-in-hand with the lifestyle of Jägermeister consumers. “From music tours to trikes and Jägerettes to Tap machines, Jägermeister continuously seeks new and innovative ways to integrate the brand into our consumers’ lifestyle,” stated Bill Henderson, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Advertising at Sidney Frank Importing Company, Inc.

In celebration of the 2010 Motocross season and partnership with KTM Motorsports, Jägermeister will be hosting a sweepstakes for a grand prize of a 450 SX-F Jägermeister branded KTM motorcycle. Additionally, three first place winners will win an iconic Jägermeister Tap Machine. For a chance to win and official rules and regulations, visit www.Jager.com by September 4, 2010 and complete the online registration form. All guests must be 21 to enter. No Purchase Necessary.

Alessi and the new 350cc bike will be racing at following races across the country through September.
