James Stewart – Wrist
Comment: Stewart has been out since the third round of AMA Supercross with a wrist injury. According to the San Manuel Yamaha team manager Larry Brooks, Stewart is awaiting a final release from his doctors before he begins riding again. At that time he will determine his future racing plans.
Tyla Rattray – Shoulder blade
Comment: Rattray is sitting out the rest of the AMA Supercross tour to focus on the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championships, which begin May 22 at Hangtown. He will be racing the 250 class aboard a Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki KX250F.
Matt Moss – Wrist
Comment: Matt Moss's broken back is healed, but he also had his wrist checked out while he was out with back problems, and it turns out he had a broken navicular. The injury is healing, but Matt is still in a cast and likely won't be back until the outdoor tour.
Jake Moss – Knuckle
Comment: Out until MX with a fractured knuckle.
Vernon McKiddie – Knee
Comment: MXDesigns/Shea Racing’s Vernon McKiddie suffered a torn ACL and MCL just two days before his hometown race in Houston. He will undergo surgery in two weeks.
Jake Marsack - Neck
Comment: Jake Marsack out with a broken neck - C2 and C7. Under the current care of Steve Navarro.
Grant Langston – Entire body
Comment: Langston shot us a Tweet message that he was riding at Pala Raceway yesterday afternoon; he should be ready to go for the Hangtown.
Kevin Johnson – Fractured neck, ribs, collapsed lung, and lacerated kidney
Comment: “I am doing pretty good,” Kevin wrote us in an email earlier this week. “I have had a good time hanging out with my wife and daughter. I also have enjoyed going to church on a Sunday for more than one random weekend. To quote Trey Canard, "I am created and Saved"....so life is good.
“I got my neck brace off after 8 weeks and jumped right into the Team Faith rig and pinned it to St. Louis for the SX. I am currently the team manager, driver, mechanic, and chaplain for Team Faith. Jeff Gibson is riding for us and doing pretty good. He jumped right on the Yamaha and felt comfortable. I am enjoying my role, but it is just temporary.
“I should be riding by the middle of May. I will just be getting ready for X Games Speed and Style. I get to defend my Gold from 2008, since they didn't have Speed and Style in 2009. Other than that, just doing some local stuff in Texas and teaching lessons around Houston.
“If anyone wants to keep up with me I am on twitter, @kevinjohnson115, and Facebook. I have to thank all the people who have been keeping me in their prayers and supporting Team Faith. I am super stoked to be having a full recovery from a scary crash. I know I have a lot left to do on a dirt bike.”
Nico Izzi - Foot
Comment: The fractured bone in his foot is healed, but he is skipping the last few supercrosses in order to regroup. "He feels confident that he can turn things around in the Nationals," team manager Donovan Mitchell told us.
Josh Hill - Ribs
Comment: His latest Tweet says he's miserable because he's suffering from allergies and dealing with freshly re-broken ribs. He also will apparently not be racing motocross at all this summer.
Matt Goerke – Broken Right Leg
Comment: Headed to California this week to start testing for the nationals. “My leg feels pretty good,” Matt told us. “It's taken a while to heal, because of the rod. I can’t wait to get back out there!”
Ben Evans – Shoulder
Comment: Re-aggravated his shoulder and is planning on returning at the Hangtown opener aboard a TiLube/Brown Motorsports KX450F.
Darryn Durham – Shoulder
Comment: Probable for the Las Vegas East/West Shootout.
Spencer Dally - Collarbone
Comment: Spencer broke his collarbone in the first heat at Atlanta. He's back in Minnesota where he had it surgically repaired with a plate and eight screws. He will be out for the rest of the Supercross season and plans to be back to 100 percent for Hangtown and the rest of the outdoor nationals.
Christian Craig – Broken Back
Comment: Currently has rods in his back and won’t be back on a bike for well over a year.
Josh Clark - Back
Comment: He will be 100 percent when the nationals start and plans to ride 450s.
Tyler Bowers – Femur
Comment: Starting therapy a few times a week but still isn’t putting any pressure on the hip until the doctor says it’s healed.
