Team San Manuel's Josh Hill Maintains Third Place Spot in Points Race
April 20, 2010 10:37am
LOS ANGELES, CA - Saturday evening's 14th round of the 2010 Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, ran before an exuberant crowd of 59,882 at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, MO. Team San Manuel's Josh Hill maintains the third place spot in the overall championship race with 225 points while teammate and current series Champ, James Stewart, continues ongoing rehab with hopes of returning to the track this season.
Hill started the evening running Heat Race 2 and finishing the eight-lap heat ninth for the direct transfer to the Main. Quick out of the gate in the Main event, Hill ran most of the race with the top-10 pack however, the combination of the soft St. Louis dirt, which broke down and rutted quickly, along with requisite long jump combinations, brought about several collision laps. With the season nearing a close, and each rider literally battling for every spot, Hill finished 13th, still keeping his third-place spot in the overall championship points race.
Post race Hill had this to say, “That was some over the top racing tonight! This week the track was tough but in a different way than Houston. With three races left in the season, I'd want to get my Team San Manuel Yamaha back up on the podium again! My entire team and everyone at San Manuel and each and everyone of my sponsors have been soo supportive - for me personally it has been a really good season!”
