Wilson, Metcalfe, Brayton, Beams, Decotis on DMXS Radio Tonight
April 14, 2010, 6:15pm
Pro Circuit’s Dean Wilson finally made it back from Canada after missing two rounds due to some immigration paperwork issues. All that is behind him as he hopes to finish out the series strong and look to the outdoors, where luckily for him, there are no races north of the border. Deano is a good kid with a snappy sense of humor that makes for a good interview, so get out your Scottish/Canadian/American decoder ring and play along.
GEICO Powersport Honda’s Brett Metcalfe has had his share of bad luck and injuries over the last few years. The native Australian continues to tough it out and persevere as he is well-known for doing. An inconsistent supercross season has Metty out of the title hunt, but his competitors would be wise not to look past him when the outdoor season begins in a few short weeks.
Muscle Milk JGR’s Justin Brayton is still gunning for his first podium this year but has dealt with some nagging injuries that have slowed his momentum after solid rides in Atlanta and Indy. He’s not making excuses and knows he needs to finish out strong and hopes to carry that mojo into the ultra competitive big boy class come Hangtown.
Our resident trainer/coach/therapist/friend Robb Beams from Motoendurance.net will once again dazzle us with his infinite knowledge of all things that make you sweat and regret eating that Snickers bar. We will touch on training subjects with motocross fitness as the goal. Make sure you check out www.motoendurance.net for information and to sign up for the informative newsletter.
In 2009, Peabody, Massachusetts was ranked the 14th most livable city by Forbes Magazine based on the high culture and low crime. That’s all well and good, but in 2010 the city is now best known for being where KennyG Performance’s Jimmy Decotis is from. I didn’t even know the famous saxophonist had a race team, but Jimmy D is representing them well as he continues to impress the industry each week. We’ll see if anybody has come knocking for the outdoors as we catch up with him tonight.
