Windham Lands on Podium for MSR

Corona, CA – Veteran MSR rider Kevin Windham recorded an impressive second place finish at round 13 of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross series in Houston. The southern Texas stop is the closest event to home for the Centreville, MS native and Kevin did not disappoint the hometown crowd. After logging the second fastest qualifying time, .002 off the pole position, Windham would have to work through the field to finish second in his heat race.
Windham launched off the start and completed the first lap of the main event in third position. Wasting no time, Kevin moved his way in to second by the end of lap two and tried to start a charge at race leader Ryan Villopoto. Despite Kevin’s best efforts the two stayed pretty evenly spaced for much of the race, while putting a decent sized cushion between themselves and the rest of the field.
K-Dub was sporting the new MSR NXT Spring gear in route to his fourth podium finish of the season. This NXT pant, jersey and glove will be available at your local Tucker Rocky dealer beginning April 15th. Also launching with the gear will be a matching MSR Velocity helmet to complete the kit.
