North Coast Motorsports in Oceanside, CA is the new North American Distributor for the legendary brand of fuel tanks, Safari Tanks. In early 2010, the partnership was expanded to with North Coast Motorsports to build the superior reputation of Safari tank in North America. Dealers should expect low lead times and plenty of selection when ordering for their customers.
Safari fuel tanks make long-range fuel tanks for most popular off road and dual sport machines. The most recent tanks that have been built are the Yamaha WR250R, Husaberg EFI, and the BMW G450X. On the horizon is the Trail Tank for the Fuel injected Husqvarna’s that is sure to be a seller.
With a niche market, Safari Tanks has built a reputation of building tanks for models no other brand wants to tackle. This is has given them a small yet, loyal market of riders want to go farther on their motorcycles without compromising the looks or feel of their bikes. Owner Robin Box built the first tank in 2001 for his XR650R, after riding the Simpson Desert, the Canning Stock Route, most of the Victorian High Country and a lot of tracks in between, he knew what he wanted - a tough tank with enough range to go the distance.
