Talking with Monster Energy Kawasaki team manager Mike Fisher earlier today, he maintained that the plan is for Chad Reed to return to racing in Houston, but he refused to say if that was a definite thing or not.
One interesting note, though, is that in the drive to help Ryan Villopoto beat Ryan Dungey for the championship, if Villopoto wins the races, even if Dungey finishes right behind him, Villopoto gains three points. However, if Reed were to race, and win, and Villopoto finished second and Dungey third, Villopoto could only gain two points. If Reed were to be dominant upon his return, it will make it harder for Villopoto to make up points on Dungey.

Chad Reed's bike remains under wraps for one more week - or maybe longer?
