Encinitas, CA - There's not much you can do to deter a former motocross champion like Chuck Sun from getting where he wants to go especially when "where" is the 3rd Annual RacerX Vintage Inter-Am in Boise, Idaho.
Sun, a hugely talented and personable former US and international motocross racing champ whose incredible career has spanned an amazing four decades is an odds-on favorite for the Vintage Inter-Am podium.
"It's tough for me to break away from my business (Nevada based "Rising Sun Sweat Lodges & Personal Cleansing Clinics") but the truth is that I just can't stand the thought of another, less deserving former rival, going home with "my" trophies," offered Sun.
Fortunately for the 1981 Carlsbad USGP champion Sun, factory level support akin to what he became accustomed to as one of the last century's most sought after racing talents continues today. Just as it was then, Sun's sponsors lined up to back his Vintage Inter-Am run and that has included sizable support from Southern California based powersports super marketing agency, Resmarket, Inc.
"The opportunity to work with a champion of Chuck's stature is something most people in our business only dream of," said Resmarket president Scott Cox. "As a budding creative director years ago I had the great fortune to work on the Bell Helmet advertising account during Chuck's "Rising Sun" era. And now as a titan of the motorcycle publicity and marketing game it's like recapturing the '80s. I would never would have imagined that some day I'd have both a personal and professional relationship with Chuck Sun as I now do. All of us at Resmarket, Inc., are very focused on Chuck's race this weekend. Assuming all goes well, we may have him install one of his Rising Sun sweat lodges at our Encinitas, CA campus. But come hell or high water, Chuck Sun is our man!"
