ROUND 10 – ROGERS CENTRE, TORONTO, CANADA - MARCH 13TH
LOS ANGELES, CA – Making its tenth stop of the 2010 series, the Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, roared north of the border into Toronto, where 42,083 exuberant Canadian fans packed into Rogers Centre Saturday evening. Team San Manuel Yamaha's Josh Hill brought in another top ten finish, bettering last week’s ninth-place in Daytona, with a come-from-behind battle for sixth place. Hill continues to sit third in the overall championship points race with 177 points.
Hill’s Saturday evening began solid, with fast practice lap times. Running Heat Race 2, Hill took a formidable second for the direct transfer to the Main. Teammate and current Supercross Champion, James Stewart, not racing due to a scaphoid injury sustained earlier in the season, continues physical therapy and aggressive rehab on his post-surgical right wrist.
In the Main event Hill had an unfortunate bad start but continued to power through the field, moving up several positions from behind to take a sixth place finish in the 20-lap race.
Post-Toronto Hill had this to say, “I'm working really hard with my team and I am glad to still be in third place in the points. Going to spend more time this week testing and tightening up a few things. Still hoping to put my San Manuel Yamaha back on the podium a few more times this season. And...again thanks go out to Team San Manuel and all my great sponsors and everyone whose part of my program for sticking by my 100%!"
