Rockstar/Makita Suzuki Heads to Atlanta

  • Rockstar/Makita Suzuki Heads to Atlanta
Ryan Dungey and Austin Stroupe are ready to build on their podium momentum in Georgia.

Dungey is currently tied for the lead in the Supercross class and owned the second spot on the podium last week. He’s been atop the points leader board since Round 2 of the series, and after experimenting with some new bike settings, has his RM-Z450 dialed in.

Stroupe started the Eastern Regional Lites class off with a bang, riding his fuel-injected RM-Z250 all the way to the podium in the bike’s racing debut. After racing on the 450 at the beginning of the series, Stroupe is very comfortable and ready to battle for the Lites championship.

Matt Moss will not be racing this weekend, but is being evaluated on a weekly basis to determine when his debut in the 450 Supercross class will take place.

Before the racers hit the track on Saturday, they’ll be making an appearance to sign autographs for their fans. Dungey, Stroupe, and Moss will be at the Home Depot located at 2525 Piedmont Road NE in Atlanta, Georgia, from 4 to 6 pm on Friday, February 26. They’ll be signing posters for fans who attend, and one lucky fan will win an autographed Dungey jersey at the event.

If you can’t be at the race in Atlanta, you can still see the Rockstar Makita Suzuki racers in action. Round 8 of the AMA Supercross series will be televised on SPEED Saturday night starting at 7:30 pm EST.
